Ignoring the Thoughts and Eating (WIAW)

You guys, I think Wednesday’s are coming in a close second with Friday on becoming my favorite week day. I get to sleep in an extra hour, have shortened class periods, drool over some fabulous food. πŸ˜‰ Ahh, I remember the days when it was not always like this, but I am sure glad they are like this now!


I’m not going to lie, I have been having a pretty crappy body image lately. I don’t know what it is.. but I just feel so big even though my close fit a little loose. I go through about five outfit changes in the morning until I find something I think fits decent. It fades in and out. I don’t know.. maybe I’m just weird or something. I’m stronger than the thoughts though.


Anywho, enough talking.. just enjoy the food. πŸ™‚

Whole wheat pasta with mushroom and lean beef, homemade garlic bread, peas, and carrots.


Chicken and Shrimp Pho.


Warm Apple Pie Oatmeal topped with peanut butter and a side of coffee.


A fat-free cream cheese + spinach + turkey + avocado + tomato wrap, strawberries, blueberries, and almonds.


Pork roast, spaghetti squash, and mashed sweet potato.


Vanilla caramel melted banana egg white oats with fat-free cottage cheese, chia seeds, blueberries, strawberries, and topped with peanut butter with a side of water and coffee.


Rotisserie chicken, garlic potatoes, broccoli, and french bread.


A wrap (like the one above), almonds, apple slices, grapes, carrots, pineapple, and watermelon.


A turkey burger topped with spinach + tomato + onion, quinoa, and cauliflower.


Baked chicken, roasted sweet potato, broccoli, cauliflower, and corn.



A chicken + cheese + mushroom + onion + red pepper quesadilla, chicken, and broccoli.Β

  1. Mhmm that pho looks delicious! I’m a huge fan of Vietnamese food and a warm bowl of soup can fix more problems than people think.

    I’m so sorry you’ve been struggling with your body image lately. I have those days too where I just don’t feel like anything is working on my body, when in reality, it’s all a mental game that I make up for myself. Just have to try to stay positive and keep those irrational thoughts out of our heads! I’m here is you ever need someone to talk to. Just shoot me a text or email!

You are a beautiful young woman and have a whole host of people who believe that for you when it’s not so easy to do yourself. Hang in there, hun. It gets easier, and you’re never alone ❀

  3. I should not have looked at this post when I was hungry haha! But everything looks delicious! I’m sorry to hear about your body image struggle, but you are spot on in saying that you are stronger than you realize. My tip is picking out an outfit the night before and laying it out and then in the morning you can put it on without thinking about it too much (plus you can sleep in more because you don’t have to think about it! πŸ™‚ )

  4. Ugh I can’t stand those days when I feel like NOTHING fits and EVERYTHING looks terrible on me! But when in doubt, it’s yoga pants and a T-shirt. (At least I’ll FEEL comfortable right?)

    Just remember that we all have our ups an downs… maybe on Friday you’ll be like umm “who is that smokin hot woman in the mirror? Meeeeeee!” You are doing awesome and you are beautiful – don’t you forget it!

    Wishing I had that apple pie oatmeal now though πŸ˜‰

I think we all have those days every now and again, and yes they can suck big time, but they come and go and depend a lot more on what’s going on in our lives than what’s actually happening with our bodies. You’re gorgeous and fabulous — don’t let any stupid voices try to convince you otherwise ❀

  8. Natalie: Don’t let those thoughts reach you!!!! I have days in which I feel like crap.. and my body image is literally the worse, but then I remind myself of how happy and healthy I am now! I can do a lot of things, that I wouldn’t be able to, if it wasn’t because I stood up and fight those mental games!!! You go girl!!! You can beat this!!
