Let’s Chat Over Some Coffee

*Yawn*

Good morning, you guys. I just want to sit down here this morning and have a talk with you. I have my oatmeal, my coffee, and an open mind for this post. I don’t know about you, but I love having catch up talks over some coffee.. Well, I’ll be the one doing the talking, but we can gladly get one going in the comments. ๐Ÿ™‚

Alrighty, first off.. I don’t know about you guys, but I cannot start my morning without some oatmeal and coffee (well besides drinking water upon rising). My days always feel incomplete without it. Ya know what I mean? Even with the warmer weather, I still love having my oats warm. Maybe it’s the fact I haven’t tried overnight oats, but I digress.

*I feel like I’m the only one who mixes in my nut butter with my oatmeal besides saving it for last.*

I seriously cannot believe that it is the last day of March. Is it just me or is 2014 going by beyond fast? We are already about to head into the fourth month! Ahh, it’s crazy to realize that we are already 1/4 of the way through the year. That blows my mind. I think that’s a bit too much to comprehend while only having a few sips of coffee. Whew, I feel like today is going to be a whirlwind of a day already.

As I already clued in on yesterday, I got to experience something new this weekend. I went to my first quince. I was invited last minute by my friend to go to their friend’s sister’s party. I’m talking about an hour before pick-up notice. I was running around trying to find a dress and get ready. It was a little awkward considering I didn’t know anyone, but I made the most of the night. Right as we got there, I met the princess of the night, got assisted to our seats, and was given food. Good thing because I was HUNGRY. We had rice, beans, pork, tortillas, and veggies. It was pretty tasty. We enjoyed apple cider throughout the night. We also watched the court dance to some songs. I’m not gonna lie, I started tearing up at the slow songs. It was so beautiful seeing her dance with her dad and given her new shoes to symbolize her becoming a woman. Even though I was the only white girl there, you bet your butt I was dancing along to the music even though I didn’t understand it. They all welcomed me with open arms, though. ๐Ÿ™‚

On Saturday, we started moving some furniture into the new house. I still can’t believe how beautiful and spacious the house is. In some of the rooms, we are going to add some wood flooring. We didn’t move much, but I did help my dad do a good portion of the yard work that needed to be done. No surprise that I got sun burned. I’m happy that I’ll be receiving a vanity and a new bed post when the flooring is finished and we clear out the house we’re in right now. I’ve already started packing and my room is becoming more and more bare.

*These oats are so creamy!*

Sadly, I finished watching all of the episodes of That 70s Show, so now I don’t know what to watch on Netflix.. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. ๐Ÿ˜€

*Oh no.. my coffee is almost gone.*

Besides those two major events, I didn’t have much going on this weekend. I got stood up, but I won’t get into that. We gotta stay positive!

I know what I was going to say now.. Due to some internal issues (I’d rather not go into detail), I have been advised to not partake in physical activity until my body starts to function normally. The most physical activity I get is walking around. I have been doing a lot of stretching, because this girl cannot stay still for so long. I just get so antsy! o.o

*Oh no.. my oatmeal is coming to an end..*

What I have decided is that once I get the okay, I want to start training to compete in a powerlifting meet and compete in bikini figure. I know it will take a lot of work, but honestly, I really want to do it. I am determined to do it. I’m not going to do some crazy diet and wear myself out, so I will probably do it in a year or two. I don’t want to damage my body even further. No way, Jose.

*Spoon dropped in an empty bowl and my list sip of coffee*

Well, my bowl is empty and my coffee is finished. This was a nice chat. We should have it again sometime soon. ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope you have a marvelous day and an amazing week. โค

  1. Oh that’s awesome that you got to go to a quince this weekend! And you look gorgeous in that dress ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m happy to hear that you had fun dancing with everyone and that your move is off to a good start! I hope you feel better soon ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I had no idea what a quince was so I had to google it! I learned something new today ๐Ÿ™‚ Sounds like a blast! One of my best friends competes in figure competitions and it is a lot of hard work… the diets can be really tough. I say if that’s where your dreams are taking you then DO IT! But please make sure your body has truly healed and you are ready for the challenge!

    • I always learn new things everyday. There is just so much out there to learn! Haha. ๐Ÿ™‚
I’m not going to do it for a while so I don’t have to go on some crazy intense diet. I want it to happen naturally for now and then train harder when the time comes. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. I love this! And I’m always sad when my oatmeal is finishedโ€ฆ*sigh*
I totally admire you for resting in order to get your internal issues all right. I’m on the same boat as you, sista. But your goals for power lifting and figure competitions is awesome! I think you’ll rock it. ๐Ÿ™‚
Breakfast this morning was a banana bread English muffin with nut butter (duh) and Greek yogurt with sliced bananas, cinnamon, nutmeg, and stevia! Delicious.

    • Right? I’m just like.. “Why did you have to end?!”
Thank you! I know it will take a lot of work, but it’s something I have wanted to do for a while now. It’ll be so worth it! ๐Ÿ˜€
Ugh, I really want that for breakfast now!
